Wireworld has introduced the Rainbow 5.1 multichannel analog
interconnect cable line, providing consumers and installers with
an upgrade for the signal path from DVD-Audio/Video, and SACD
players to home theater receiver and processor equipment. The
high quality cables are color coded, feature clearly marked terminations
for easy installation, and are built-to-order in varying lengths
with either RCA or DB-25 multipin connectors.
"The vast majority of today's high resolution audio equipment
like DVD-Audio and SACD requires that signals be transferred from
source to processing electronics in the analog range," commented
Wireworld president David Salz. "Unfortunately, many consumers
are using conventional low-quality interconnects in this signal
path, really denying themselves the full promise of these formats.
This is the sonic equivalent of watching a crystal clear HDTV
program wearing eyeglasses that are someone else's prescription
- the source may be remarkable, but the experience is still all
wrong."
The Rainbow 5.1 interconnect consists of six individual cables,
each individually color coded and terminated with clearly labeled
Gold Tube RCA plugs or DB-25 multipin connectors. Each cable utilizes
32 strands of silver-clad OFC (Oxygen-Free Copper) and teflon
insulation for maximum conductivity and dynamic range.
The Rainbow 5.1 interconnects are currently available, and are
built-to-order in varying lengths at retail prices beginning at
$124.95 for a .5 meter set.
Wireworld, which was founded by Salz in 1992, offers a broad
spectrum of very high quality full-range and bi-wire loudspeaker
cables, audio and video interconnects, digital audio interconnects,
power cords, and digital A/V cables. The company has an excellent
reputation among audio and home theater enthusiasts for producing
high quality cables based on the use of objective perceptual testing,
patented designs, premium materials, and exceptional manufacturing
quality.
