| DENVER (9/05/07) – Wireworld has introduced an HDMI
Repeater module, capable of increasing the distance HDMI signals
can be transmitted without degrading image or sound quality. The
unit is simple to install, and uses the HDMI cable's internal
5-volt power line, eliminating the need for additional power connections.
The Wireworld HDMI repeater installs at the end of a long HDMI
cable run, refreshing the signal for transmission through a second
cable - effectively doubling the possible transmission distances
to remote components such as at the projector in a front projection
home theater system. The unit's proprietary circuitry equalizes,
amplifies, and re-transmits the complete HDMI signal while avoiding
the pixel noise that plagues repeater designs optimized purely
for longest distance capability.
While the Wireworld HDMI repeater is fully compatible with all
HDMI cables, when used with Wireworld's proprietary flat HDMI
cables it is capable of delivering pristine 1080p video and high
definition multichannel audio signals at lengths of up to 30 meters.
It is compatible with all HDTV resolutions and standards, including
the Deep Color™ capabilities of HDMI v. 1.3. It is also
fully HDCP compliant, and functions equally well with both HDMI
and adapted DVI connections, enabling it to work in a wide variety
of situations.
The Wireworld HDMI repeater features both power and malfunction
LED indicators, and includes a mounting bracket and hardware for
quick and clean installation. It is currently available from Wireworld
dealers at a suggested retail price of $199.95.
