Wireworld Claims the World’s Best-Handling Digital Video Cables

Great cornering and straight-line performance, and they don’t run out of gas over long runs

DENVER (9/13/06) --- Wireworld's newest line of flat and flexible HDMI and DVI Digital Video cables will go where other cables cannot. These cables, which are 1080p compliant up to 15 meter lengths, can be safely bent to a tighter turning radius than any other high performance HDMI and DVI cables. Most competing high-end cables are extremely stiff, making them ill-equipped for the confined spaces found behind many audio/video component racks. These cables are often subjected to tight bends that can lead to decreased performance or failure as well as connections coming unplugged.

"These cables offer a real breakthrough in performance and convenience," said David Salz, the president of Wireworld. "Our flat HDMI and DVI cables offer remarkable video quality even over very long runs, yet can turn tight corners without compromising performance."

The Wireworld family of flat digital video cables includes the Silver Starlight 52, Starlight 52, Ultraviolet 52, and Chroma 52 lines. The topology of the flat cable conductors and shields is very effective for reducing digital jitter, and the 52 cables are capable of carrying extremely high bandwidth signals, including 1080p, over longer runs than conventional designs without signal degradation. The cables' heavy-duty die-cast zinc connector housings and silver-clad contacts provide additional reliability and performance.

All Wireworld 52 HDMI and DVI cables are UL-CL3 and CSA-FT4 rated for in-wall installation, and are available in various lengths between 1 M (3.3 ft.) and 20 M (65.6 ft.)

The top-of-the-line Wireworld Silver Starlight 52 cables use silver-clad copper signal conductors of 6N (>99.9999%) purity, which is produced through the OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) process. It is available in lengths from 1 M (3.3 ft.) to 25M (82 ft.) at suggested retail prices starting at $299 for a 1 meter length.

The high-end Starlight 52 cables feature the same design as the Silver Starlight 52 cables, but use silver-clad OFC signal conductors. They are currently available at a suggested retail price of $199.95 for a 1 meter length.

The mid-line Ultraviolet 52 cables feature the same design as the Starlight 52, with a lower silver content. They are currently available at a suggested retail price of $119.95 for a 1 meter length.

The entry level Chroma 52 cables feature Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) signal conductors and molded connectors for either HDMI or DVI applications. They are currently available at a suggested retail price of $59.95 for a 1 meter length.

Wireworld, which was founded by David Salz in 1992, offers a broad spectrum of very high quality speaker cables, audio and video interconnects, digital audio interconnects, power cords, digital A/V cables, and plasma/LCS control cables. The company has an excellent reputation among audio and home theater enthusiasts for producing high quality cables based on the use of objective perceptual testing, patented designs, premium materials, and exceptional manufacturing quality.
