San Francisco (4/22/02) --- Parasound Products,
Inc. has introduced the first of a new premium brand of high-end audio
and video components that will be sold under the name Halo by Parasound.
With attractive silver-finish front panels and upgraded audio circuitry,
Halo by Parasound provides a design-conscious step-up from the companys
ongoing traditional product line, now known as Parasound Classic.
Halo by Parasound will be beautiful,
versatile, easy to use, and offer incredible sound quality, said
Richard Schram, the president and founder of Parasound Products. Halo
builds upon our reputation for manufacturing high quality, high value
products by further upgrading sonic performance and ease of operation.
Halo gives our dealers products whose performance equals or surpasses
the most revered brands in high-end audio, while maintaining real-world
pricing.
The Halo series, Schram continues,
incorporates professional audio technologies such as fully-differential
balanced circuits with XLR type connectors. It also follows and refines
proven Parasound design elements like the use of pure Class A JFET input
and MOSFET driver stages, DC servos to eliminate capacitors in the signal
path, and the use of Class A/AB power amplifiers that operate Class A
at virtually all reasonable listening levels. We also gave our chief analog
designer, John Curl, the go-ahead to specify higher grade electronic components.
Needless to say, weve had no arguments from John on this matter.
Today, Parasound begins delivering three
Halo audio components designed to set new standards for stereo sound quality.
The Halo A 23 Power Amplifier,
P 3 Preamplifier, and T
3 FM/AM Tuner combine to form what may well be the ultimate affordable
two-channel music system.
Over the coming months these will be followed
by state-of-the-art 7.5 Channel Controllers, a full-line of stereo and
multi-channel power amplifiers, and multi-format disc players.
The Halo by Parasound T 3 Tuner has a suggested
retail price of $600. The P 3 Preamplifier has a suggested retail price
of $800. The A 23 Power Amplifier has a suggested retail price of $850.
All are currently available.
Founded in 1981, Parasound Products, Inc.,
is a privately owned U.S. company that specializes in providing affordable
