NEW
YORK (5/11/07) -- Outlaw Audio, the leading Internet-only home
theater and audio manufacturer, has introduced the LFM-1 Compact
subwoofer for home theater and music applications. Designed
for theater and listening rooms of more modest size, the LFM-1
Compact features a 10-inch woofer and powerful 225 Watt BASH®
amplifier in a dual-ported downfiring enclosure.
Unlike most smaller home theater subwoofers, which suffer
from over-emphasized 'one-note bass' boominess, the Outlaw Audio
LFM-1 Compact delivers extremely linear performance from 180
Hz down to 25 Hz, and is capable of a remarkable output of up
to 112 dB with proper placement in typical listening rooms.
The high-current BASH® amplifier is capable of delivering
as much as 1300 watts of power during transients to handle the
most explosive special effects and low-end music. Like all of
Outlaw's LFM series subwoofers, the downfiring enclosure design
almost completely eliminates port noise during high outputs,
and is extremely flexible with regards to placement options.
The rear-mounted amplifier section includes both line-level
and speaker-level inputs, as well as speaker-level outputs for
use with any receiver or processor. Crossover level is continuously
variable from 40 to 180 Hz, or can be bypassed entirely for
ideal integration with a full-range speaker system or when used
with electronics that include first class bass management. Finally,
the 180-degree phase control can be used to tame adverse room
interactions.
The LFM-1 compact shares the same attractive black satin finish
and inset smoked Plexiglas top panel as the rest of Outlaw's
LFM subwoofer line. Its slim 13-inch width blends easily into
any décor. It will be available in July exclusively from
the company's online store at www.outlawaudio.com at a price
of $399.
Privately owned Outlaw Audio designs their own line of high-performance,
high-value consumer electronics products and markets them exclusively
via the Internet from their www.outlawaudio.com website. The
recipient of numerous major awards and "Recommended Component"
ratings from major publications, Outlaw's products are widely
regarded by audiophiles around the world.
