Onkyo Pro Adds THX and ISFccc AV Processor, Blu-ray Disc Player, and Premium DVD Player--all for Studio and Systems Integration Applications

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ (11/10/08) -- Onkyo Professional has announced that it is now shipping a new THX Ultra2 Plus AV Preamplifier/Processor with built-in ISF video calibration, its first Blu-ray Disc Player, and a 1080p Upscaling SACD and DVD Audio/Video Player. These products are engineered to deliver top performance in production studios and advanced systems integration applications.

The Onkyo Professional PR-SC886P is a THX Ultra 2 Plus certified 7.1-channel, three-zone audio/video preamplifier/processor that employs all the latest high definition audio and video processing with HDMI 1.3a connectivity. It is also the first professional-grade processor to include Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) Certified video calibration controls, which allows all video input sources to be separately calibrated for optimum image and color accuracy. Additional image optimization is provided by an HQV Reon-VX video-processing chip, which will scale all video inputs to 1080p resolution without the inconsistencies of lesser systems. Superior HD audio performance is provided via Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio processing, THX Loudness Plus for superior surround sound at low listening levels, and Audyssey's MultiEQ XT, Dynamic EQ, and Dynamic Volume features. It will have a suggested retail price of $2,049.

The Onkyo Professional DV-BD606P Blu-ray Disc Player is designed to reveal the ultimate 1080p video and high definition audio performance from Blu-ray discs. It will have a suggested retail price of $599.

The Onkyo Professional DV-SP506P is a full-featured 1080p upscaling SACD and DVD Audio/Video player with bi-directional RS-232 and other control interfaces that allow full system integration into a studio or other complex audio-video environment. It will have a suggested retail price of $329.

All three models include19-inch rack mounting kits.
