Onkyo Professional Debuts 1080p Upscaling DVD-Audio & SACD Player

UPPER SADDLE RIVER, NJ (11/10/08) -- Onkyo Professional has introduced the DV-SP506P, a professional-grade SACD and DVD-Audio/video player with 1080p upscaling that is designed for audio/video production and post-production users, as well as systems integrators.

The Onkyo Professional DV-SP506P has an HDMI single-cable A/V output connection for easy integration with the latest A/V processors and high-definition video displays. It plays DVD-Video, CD, Video CD, SACD, DVD-Audio, MP3, WMA & JPG files, as well as CD-R/RW & DVD±R/RW discs. The progressive scan video circuitry includes 2:3 pulldown, premium upscaling to 1080p, 1080i or 720p for ultimate performance with HD displays.

For multi-feed applications, the DV-SP506P comes equipped with 5.1 multi-channel output and dual stereo analog, coaxial & optical digital, composite & S-Video outputs. All outputs are simultaneously active, negating the need for expensive routers or splitters. IR and Bi-directional RS-232 allows integrated system operation from AMX, Crestron and other control systems. Lastly, RI interface allows easy integration and control when used with an Onkyo receiver, and includes Remote Interactive over HDMI (RIHD) protocalls.
           
For audio reproduction, the DV-SP506P employs three Burr-Brown 192 kHz/24-bit linear PCM audio DACs coupled with the company’s exclusive Vector Linear Shaping Circuit (VLSC) for smoother and more linear analog output.

The Onkyo Professional DV-SP506P includes a 19-inch rack mounting kit, and is now available at a suggested retail price of $329.
