Canton Introduces Four New In-wall Speakers at CEDIA, Including Company's First In-Wall LCR Model

DENVER (9/13/06) -- Canton, Germany's leading loudspeaker manufacturer, has added four new models to its in-wall speaker lineup, including the company's first in-wall home theater LCR (left/center/right) model. All of the new models feature high quality cone woofers, pivoting tweeters with level adjustment for ideal dispersion in any environment, and removable speaker assemblies to simplify installation and painting of mounting brackets and grills.

The Canton InWall 500, InWall 650 and InWall 800 are two-way speakers with 5-1/4-, 6-1/2-, and 8-1/4-inch polypropylene woofers. The InWall 500 LCR is a two-way home theater speaker with two 5-1/4-inch woofers arrayed to provide the wider soundstage preferred for home theater applications. All four models use a pivoting mounted high-output 1-inch aluminum-dome tweeter. A three-position tweeter level control provides for individual room optimization. All components are engineered and tuned for optimal acoustic performance in real listening environments.

The improved in-wall mounting system eliminates the preassembly required on earlier models and includes rotating turn-and-lock tabs for quick and secure installation in standard wallboard. These tabs can be easily removed for direct panel mounting. The trim rings and removable grills can be painted to match the room color.

The Canton InWall 500, InWall 500 LCR, InWall 650, and InWall 800 will be available in September for $214.50, $349.00, $274.50, and $324.50 each, respectively.
