| BROADVIEW, IL (7/12/05) -- Blaupunkt has introduced
four new component speaker systems in its Thin Line series of
space saving car audio equipment. Each speaker system consists
of a high quality 3/4-inch tweeter, an external crossover unit,
and a cone woofer that features a mounting depth of under two
inches, allowing for a wide range of new installation possibilities.
Each Thin Line THc component system woofer incorporates Blaupunkt's
exclusive Fringe Field technology, originally developed for the
company's flagship OverDrive speaker line. This proprietary engineering
and design technique employs an innovative magnet and voice coil
arrangement, reducing mounting depth by an inch or more and cutting
weight in half, making these speakers ideal for difficult installations.
Each system features a high quality 3⁄4-inch dome tweeter,
including both flush and surface mount baskets for a wide array
of installation options. Woofer cones are constructed of stiff
and lightweight injected polymer and include convenient multihole
mounting to fit nearly any vehicle. High quality rubber surrounds
ensure that the driver will continue to provide high quality reproduction
for years to come.
The new Thin Line Component speakers are currently available
in three complete packages featuring woofer, tweeter, and crossover
packages: the THc540 with a 5-1/4 inch woofer, THc650 with 6.5-inch
woofer, and the THc660 with 6.6-inch oversize woofer. Each has
a suggested retail price of $139.95 per two-channel set. Additionally,
the THc50, which includes just tweeters and crossovers, is available
at a suggested retail price of $69.95.
