LAS VEGAS (1/8/07) -- Blaupunkt has introduced its new GT series of car audio speakers at the 2007 CES 2007 here today. Designed with both style and performance in mind, these low-profile, high-quality speakers are engineered to deliver powerful, crystal-clear sound with eye-catching aesthetics. The GT series includes GTc component speakers, GTx coaxial speakers, and GTw subwoofers.

The GT series speakers boast remarkable power handling and efficiency, and can achieve high output levels using relatively low amplifier power. They feature powerful ferrite woofer magnets that provide controlled bass response, as well as neodymium tweeter magnets designed to create extremely crisp treble response. All models employ injected polypropylene cones for highly accurate reproduction of a wide range of audio signals. Additionally, the speakers all employ a rear air venting system, which further enhances power handling and durability.

Blaupunkt's GTc component speakers have max power levels ranging from 180 to 210 Watts, and feature multi-hole mounting on most baskets to allow for installation in nearly any vehicle. They are currently available in three woofer sizes, 5.25", 6.5", and 6.6", all at suggested retail prices of $84.95 per pair

The GTx coaxial speakers offer max power levels ranging from 100 to 220 Watts, and also include multi-hole mounting on most baskets for simple installation in most vehicles. GTx models are available in 3.5", 4", and 4"x6" sizes at a suggested retail price of $44.95 per pair. GTx 5.25", 6.5", and 6.6" oversize models have a suggested retail price of $54.95 per pair. GTx two-way 5"x7" and three-way 6"x9" models have a retail price of $84.95 per pair.

Finally, the GTw subwoofer speakers come in a 10-inch size, which has an MSRP of $79.95, and a 12-inch size, which is available for $89.95. They boast max power levels of up to 600 Watts, and include spring-loaded terminals and multi-hole mounting for quick and painless installation.

All GT series speakers sport a contemporary design with brushed titanium silver and black cosmetics, and the GTx coaxial and GTc models feature attractive open grills. They are designed for simple, do-it-yourself installation, making them an appealing aesthetic and acoustic upgrade to any automobile.
