Blaupunkt Names New Regional Distributors for North America

Broadview, IL (9/29/05) -- Blaupunkt, a world leader in automotive electronics entertainment systems, today introduced its new sales distribution network for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Lutz Marschall, General Manager, Blaupunkt, North America, has announced a list of 14 factory-direct regional distributors to replace the company's current distribution scheme on January 1, 2006.

"This new distribution initiative will improve product availability, increase speed of delivery for many dealers and create a much more effective means of responding to an increasingly price competitive marketplace. Under this new distribution initiative, which was first announced in April of this year, the regional distributors will maintain a broad inventory of Blaupunkt products obtained directly from the company's many factories worldwide. This will give individual dealers faster access to Blaupunkt products, allowing them to simplify their own inventory management and to be more responsive to each customer.
