LAS VEGAS (1/07/08) -- Blaupunkt will introduce a broad line of aftermarket car audio products at CES 2008. These will include five new in-dash car audio receivers, two new power amplifiers, and new line of colorful antennas, with most items delivering to dealers in the first quarter of 2008.

This new line of car audio receivers consists of four CD AM/FM receivers and one SD AM/FM receiver with a front-panel SD card slot in lieu of a CD mechanism. They offer exceptional music playback capabilities from variety of music sources including MP3 CD-R/RW players, high-performance AM/FM tuners, auxiliary inputs for the connection of portable devices, and some models with USB inputs and Bluetooth capabilities.

The new models range from the entry level Blaupunkt Daytona MP28 to the full-featured New Orleans MP58. The Daytona, which like all Blaupunkt radios is named after a famous city, is a great entry-level solution with an easy-to-use front-panel 3.5 mm aux input for portable MP3 players, MP3 CD-R/RW drive, two channel preamp-out, X Bass low-frequency enhancement and a lively 13-segment white LCD display.

The top-of-the-line Blaupunkt New Orleans features great cosmetics and comprehensive features at a surprisingly affordable price. It supports MP3/WMA via USB and CD-R/RW drives with MP3/WMA browsing without interrupt. It has an high-quality four-channel power amplifier, four-channel preamp-out for use with external amplification, and a subwoofer output with variable gain and frequency controls. Connectivity is provided via rear-channel USB and auxiliary line inputs. The unit is iPod and Bluetooth ready via optional interfaces, and it has a full graphic RGB Variocolor display.
Another interesting model in this line is the Brisbane SD48 with a front-panel SD/MMC card slot, a rear-panel USB connection, and no CD player.

Also new for CES will be two new GT Mk III amplifiers which have been upgraded for improved 2-ohm stability. The two- and four-channel models are rated at 60 watts rms into 4 ohm loads and 90 watts RMS into 2 ohms. Both feature high level inputs, bass boost, and high- and low pass filters.
The company is also introducing new family of antennas for AM/FM, GSM, and GPS reception. These attractive, contemporary designs are available in many different colors for glass- and roof-mounting options. For dealer inquiries, call 800-323-1943 or visit www.blaupunktusa.com.
