BROADVIEW, IL (3/3/05) -- The Blaupunkt sponsored Acurabot showcar
will be on display in Los Angeles this weekend at Vision Entertainment's
Hot Import Nights show, kicking off a ten-month, sixteen city
tour of the US and Canada. This Transformer-themed, highly modified
1994 Acura Integra LS was completely redesigned under the guidance
of owner Tajai Das in the seven weeks prior to its unveiling at
the 2005 CES in January. The vehicle showcases Blaupunkt's newest
generation of audio and video products, including 28 video monitors
and a full complement of the company's Velocity series of amplifiers,
subwoofers, and speakers, plus a wide array of aftermarket performance
accessories.
"The Acurabot is the most fully realized car we've sponsored
to date," said Blaupunkt Marketing Manager George R. Velez.
"The Transformer theme is executed so well, and fits so perfectly
with the whole concept of showcars, that it can't help but impress
enthusiasts. From the hand-airbrushed exterior and the motorized
Optimus Prime in the trunk to the incredible assault of audio
and video gear, this car gets a response from every person that
sees it."
The Acurabot will be on display at Blaupunkt booths in fifteen
HIN shows across the US from now until December, and will also
appear at the ImportFest show in its native Canada in September.
