Atlantic Technology Steps into the Sunlight

NORWOOD, MASS (7/26/05) -- Atlantic Technology has introduced its first indoor/outdoor speaker, the AW-424.

The new speaker brings a fresh approach to solving the problems associated with conventional outdoor speakers. It utilizes dual 4 1/2-inch woofers flanking a special weather-resistant version of Atlantic's highly-regarded 1-inch soft dome tweeter for the responsiveness and high power handling required for outdoor speakers. The AW-424 is designed for vertical or horizontal mounting. Its woofer-tweeter-woofer configuration provides control over the speaker's dispersion, allowing the sound to be focused on a specific listening area.

Great outdoor acoustic performance is not the only area where the AW-424 displays its merits. The AW-424 employs an ingenious but uncomplicated mounting bracket that simplifies installation significantly. The consumer or installer attaches the bracket to the wall and slides the speaker onto it, using the mounting channels cut into the bracket ears. Simply tightening down the knobs completes installation - no more blind fumbling while teetering on a ladder, trying to locate the hole for the knob in a bracket far above your head.

The terminal well has drainage channels to keep water from collecting around the connections. Four self-adhesive rubber feet are included for customers who opt to use this attractive, high-performance speaker inside on a bookshelf.

The Atlantic Technology AW-424 indoor/outdoor will available at the beginning of August for a suggested price of $399 per pair.
