Since it was founded in 1989, Atlantic Technology has become one of the most highly regarded companies in the home theater industry. Specializing in complete high performance multi-channel speaker systems and home theater electronics components, Atlantic Technology produces equipment that doesn't just put viewers "in the movie theater..." it puts them "in the movie." According to Atlantic President Peter Tribeman, it is the company's engineering expertise combined with their love of music and movies that have made them so successful. "We are a group of engineers and designers who have spent the majority of our careers (over 200 years, collectively) in high performance sound reproduction. When we develop our home theater systems we always have our toughest critics in mind - ourselves. So we create systems we would want to live with - systems that are compact, powerful, attractive, and affordable. We're proud to say that the results of our efforts are consistently among the the most highly reviewed and honored Home Theater speaker systems available." All Atlantic Technology speaker systems are designed and engineered as integrated multichannel ensembles, and hand assembled at the company's Norwood, MA facility. These are not just five speakers packaged with a subwoofer and called a matched home theater system - the systems are tailored and tuned to provide a seamless and startlingly realistic soundstage for multichannel music and home theater. In 1999 Atlantic technology shipped the first of its In-Wall Theater System speakers, the System IWTS-10 LCR. This was followed by the System 10 SR surround speakers, and in 2000 with the extremely highly regarded THX Ultra certified System 20. The IWTS line has expanded to include a THX Ultra certified in-wall subwoofer and ceiling mounted solutions. Most recently, Atlantic Technology has set new standards for in-wall speaker performance with the introduction of its ground-breaking In-Wall Closed Box (IWCB) series. These innovative speakers feature completely enclosed MDF enclosures that fit easily and conveniently into conventional dog-leg frames. Even more impressive is their Directional Vector Control (DVC™) that directs the tweeter’s output up and down electronically, not mechanically, for precise, interference-free sound. Other new additions to their lineup are the 10e CSB corner-mounted subwoofer, which allows the subwoofer to hide inconspicuously in the corner without having to cut open the wall, and the new FS-4000 and FS-5000 3-in-1 LCR speakers—perfect for use with today’s newest flatscreen televisions.
